People

Müge Özoglu is an Assistant Professor of Comparative Literature at Utrecht University. Her work addresses questions related to identity politics, gender and sexuality, and cultural and literary gerontology. Müge’s research is positioned at the intersection of varying temporalities and spatialities, creating new textual spaces and alternative forms of knowledge production. Her current research project investigates culturally specific representations of ageing and old age, as well as the role of literature in healthcare.

Merve Tabur is lecturer in Comparative Literature at Utrecht University and researcher at CoFutures. Her research examines speculative storytelling, ecological futures, multispecies justice, and the politics of the Anthropocene in SWANA & diasporic cultural production, with a focus on narratives of climate change, extractivism, and urban development. Her current book project investigates conceptions of futurity and demands for environmental justice in speculative fiction from SWANA.
